What are the motorcoach requirements at Motorcoach Resort Lake Erie Shores?

Our Owner’s Association defined Class A in the traditional sense as motor homes and converted buses with a flat front (not a truck, van or semi-front end). We understand the appeal of other types of coaches and trailers, but we don’t have a provision to host those units as either a guest or owners. Additionally, Class A motorcoaches must be a minimum of 28 feet in length and be no older than ten years of age.

You can either make a booking directly on this website by using a Book Now link or call our office at 440-261-4063, and one of our guest services professionals will be glad to help you. A deposit of 50% will be taken for each lot booked. There is a 3.5% fee for all credit card transactions. Site numbers are not guaranteed. We are a lot ownership resort which means that, in the unlikely event the owner of the rental lot you selected sells or removes the property from the rental pool, you will be notified as soon as possible to discuss a suitable replacement lot. Guests unexpectedly delayed must contact us to avoid losing the remaining days of a reservation. Early departure: Unfortunately, we cannot refund portions of a stay in the event of an early departure. If a guest faces extenuating circumstances, they should call Guest Services. All rates are subject to change. We allow stays of up to 30 days, nothing more longer term at this time.

Reservations cancelled or revised in any way including arrival/departure dates, lot # or type with more than a sixty (60) day notice of check in date will be charged 50% of the deposit (additional fees may apply). Reservations cancelled within sixty (60) days of the reservation check in date will be charged 100% of all monies received(additional fees may apply).

  1. Check-in is at 1:00 pm. Check-out is 10:00 am. For early arrival or late check-out please contact Guest Services. Additional charges may apply. There are no refunds for early checkout.
  2. Guests can register at the Welcome Center or through our virtual check in service. If the Welcome Center is closed at your time of arrival please utilize your information from welcome email to get settled on your lot and check in with the Welcome Center in the morning. After-hours arrivals must check-in at the Welcome Center the following day prior to 10:00 am. Vehicles must be registered and display the window tag provided.
  3. No more than six (6) people are allowed per lot.
  4. To extend your stay, please contact Guest Services.
  5. Quiet hours are between 10 pm and 8 am.
  6. Outdoor fires are limited to gas only. Wood fires are not permitted, unless you are in one of our two designated wood fire areas.
  7. Site decorations or ornamentation is not permitted, except those of a permanent nature by lot owners, within the guidelines of the Home Owners Association.
  8. The Resort is pet-friendly. Up to 2 gentle breed dogs are allowed per lot and kept on a leash. Pet waste bags are provided & please be considerate and pick up after your dog. Please note that there are no temporary fences or enclosures allowed on our lots. Pets causing disturbance or harm will be subject to removal from the Resort.
  9. Guests may wash their motorcoach and tow vehicle on-site. Please be conservative with water usage. Contact Rhino detailing to get a professional cleaning.
  10. Tents, screen rooms, lawn decorations, and other temporary enclosures are prohibited.
  11. Brandishing or discharging of firearms, lethal weapons, and fireworks are prohibited.
  12. Clotheslines or drying racks are prohibited outdoors.
  13. Leaving trash out overnight is prohibited due to wildlife concerns. Trash is to be taken to the dumpster as needed, which is located in the gated area south of the Welcome Center. There is a daily trash pick up at 10am during the rental season, April – October, please have garbage out by 10am.
  14. No free-standing satellite dishes are allowed.
  15. Smoking is prohibited in the Clubhouse and other resort buildings and public gathering spaces.
  16. The Clubhouse is open 24-hours a day but uses may be restricted during special events. Please see the Resort Event Calendar for additional information.
  17. Speed limit within the Resort is 10 miles per hour; strictly enforced.
  18. Golf carts and bikes may be ridden on streets within the Resort, or other designated pathways, but not in Preserve areas.
  19. Guests are asked to respect the privacy and lifestyles of others by not walking on private lots except by invitation of the owners. Sales staff are available to show for-sale properties and private outdoor environments. Please see Guest Services to arrange an appointment.
  20. For their safety, children under the age of 18 are not allowed in the Clubhouse or other common areas without adult supervision.
  21. Water areas and ponds are not for swimming or water play. Please respect the serenity of those spaces by remaining out of the water.
  22. Resort Management assumes no responsibility for injury, accident, damage or loss of personal property from any cause of nature.
  23. Resort Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and ask them to leave the Resort, if necessary. No refunds will be issued.

We use a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database. It will only be accessible by those authorized with special rights to such systems. They are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

We are a dog-friendly resort (gentle breeds only) but please only 2 dogs are allowed. Dogs should be on a 6-ft leash at all times unless in your Motorcoach or the dog park. Please be considerate about leaving your pets unattended in your motorcoach or vehicle due to barking, heat, etc.
Please refrain from allowing pets in resort buildings except for guide dogs or dogs trained to assist the handicapped.
We are in a park-like setting and with your help, it will stay that way. Please clean up after your dog and dispose of their waste in a sanitary manner. Pets causing disturbance or harm will be subject to removal from the Resort. Please note that there are no temporary fences or enclosures allowed on our lots.

Yes, we are a golf cart friendly community!

Check-in is at 1:00 pm. Check-out is 10:00 am. For early arrival or late check-out please contact Guest Services. Additional charges may apply. There are no refunds for early checkout.

Long-Term Trailer Parking and Storage Options
Onsite – $20/day self-serve behind the Welcome Center for any owner needing more than 2 weeks during the year.

Offsite – Willow Creek Campground
(3 miles from the resort) has outdoor parking available for $60/month.

Offsite Storage – Local Storage in Madison
(6 miles from the resort) has enclosed spaces from 5’x5′ up to 10’x40′ (some units are climate controlled), but currently doesn’t have any outdoor parking/storage available.

Owning a lot at MotorCoach Resort Lake Erie Shores allows you to enjoy the resort year-round, taking advantage of summer sports, fall foliage, winter snow activities, and spring blossoms. As an owner, you’ll have the freedom to visit as you wish, knowing your preferred lot and amenities will be waiting for you. You’ll build long-lasting friendships with fellow owners and eagerly anticipate your return to the community. Additionally, you have the option to place your property in a rental pool, generating income to help offset annual costs if desired.

MotorCoach Resort Lake Erie Shores will utilize talented designers to put into place the best ideas of each new lot owner as they design the interiors. Customization will be fun with such a flexible platform to work with. Building out the bungalow and lot all at once will be a good opportunity for a perfect indoor/outdoor balance.

The general layout of the lot including brick paver pad color, the bungalow location and exterior finish will need to be determined so the shell can be built. Beyond this the unit can remain unfinished on the interior until final plans for layout can be accomplished. Basic landscaping will be required at the time the bungalow is constructed.

All of the lots at MotorCoach Resort Lake Erie Shores have been and will continue to be open all year for enjoyment. Both with and without coaches, there are residents who enjoy their lots every month of the year. Bungalows offer additional conditioned space that often leads to additional visits by lot owners.
